It's not getting any better
I don't know what I was expecting, but frankly, I was hoping that something would be resolved by now, or at least some conversation to be happening. Yeah, notsomuch. I did get a response to what I felt I had to do, but in the grand scheme of things, it really didn't say much of anything except to give me the time and space that I asked for. Since we have a fairly sizeable circle of mutual friends, I guess I just need to figure out how to fall back out of love with him, and how to be ok with being just friends with him.
I've not slept decently in days, though last night I did manage about 6 hours, but it wasn't particularly restful. Right now it's all I can do to get myself out of bed in the morning to function and get done what I have to get done at work. My friends are trying to keep me cheered up and distracted, but it doesn't work most of the time.
Maybe I'll sleep tonite with the Advil PM

Unfriended & Other Stuff
Well, it appears that the Roomie From Hell decided to unfriend me on MySpace. Now, I don't particularly care, as I can still get to and see her profile, but I do find it amusing. She thinks, I know, that she is the victim in the whole debacle, and I'm sure feels perfectly justified in unfriending me. As I said, don't really give a damn. The main reason that I didn't unfriend her first is that I wanted to see how long it would take before she changed her profile and started trash talking me. So far she hasn't, and that's good. I do find it amusing that it happened almost EXACTLY a month after I kicked her out of the house.
Crawfish season has arrived, which means our weekly dinners are at the same cajun restaurant every week from now until June. Yeah, I'm not so happy about this, partly because waterliving creatures and I have this mutual dislike for each other, but also because in the past year, my body has also decided that I can no longer have Andouille sausage. That was the one thing I liked there. So, now my choices are a burger, blackened stuff, which is unacceptable because I don't like eating charcoal, fried chicken strips, chicken fried chicken/steak or a salad. I've taken to having a kid burger and a small side salad. This week, we elected to sit on the patio, and there were a dozen of us. For some reason, they put the new guy out on the patio, with the big party. Yeah, great. I ordered my burger, substituting mashed potatoes for the fries, and adding a salad. Two other people ordered salads, and two more ordered appetizers in addition to their crawfish. The crawfish orders were 5 orders of 2lbs each, 1 of 1 lb, and 1 of 3 lbs. What arrived at our table was 1 order of 4 lbs (which, in the grand scheme of things wasn't a huge deal, as 2 of the 2 lb orders were on the same ticket), the 3 lb, and 4 single lbs. No salads, no appetizers, no burgers. My burger came out in a minute, but I had to ask again for my salad, because only 1 salad was delivered. The second lb orders arrived after the 2 salads, but still before 1 appetizer.
Notice I've not said anything about receiving my potatoes. Because I never did get them, and one of the appetizers never appeared either. In the end, my burger got comp'd, though I have no idea whether it was because the waiter was so bad, or if it was because he somehow screwed up printing my ticket and lost the burger in the abyss someplace. Don't really care either, cuz it saved me some $.
In other news, I started back to the gym this week. Monday I went to the gym close to the house, and did 1/2 hour of cardio, but didn't try to do anything more because it was 5 before I got there and the crowd was just annoying. I decided to stop at another location that's on my way home, and I can make it to before 4:30. By the time that I was leaving after 30 minutes of cardio plus an upper body workout on the express machines and some crunches, it was almost 5:30 and there weren't half as many people as at the other location. I'll be back over there tomorrow afternoon. Saturday, I am shooting for a yoga class, and next week I'll start water aerobics and back to bellydance. GO ME! I am not as sore as I expected to be, largely, I believe, due to the salve I bought from Estelril Enterprises. I bought the Chest & Muscle salve at TRF back in October, when I had the beginnings of an upper respiratory infection. I started putting it on my chest immediately, and haven't had a cold that goes into my chest since then. Generally, I have at least 3 chest colds/respiratory infections between October and the end of February. I put the salve on all my sore muscles that I could reach, and they pretty much are fine today. My back's a little achy, but as I'm not double jointed, it didn't get salve on it.
Monday night, I slept like a dream, with no artificial assistance, for the first time in I can't remember when. Last night, however, I was so tired I was cross-eyed, yet couldn't get my brain to settle down and go to sleep. I played my electronic solitaire game to no avail. I simply closed my eyes and tried to think happy thoughts, yeah, nothing. Finally, I got out a mandala that I started coloring Monday night before I went to sleep. I guess maybe I find that relaxing somehow, because pretty soon I was cross eyed enough that I couldn't keep them open any longer, put away the pencils & paper, turned out the light and rolled over to sleep. For about 3 hours I did fine, but after that I was just dozing for a couple of more hours until the alarm went off. UGH, hopefully tonite I'll sleep a little better, however, I will be taking an Advil pm in about 5 minutes.

QUACK QUACK
This is a bit of a rant about my temp roomie's new doctor. My comments are in purple
For several weeks now, she's been having some pain and swelling in one of her small toes, and yesterday had an appointment with a doctor to see about that and to try to get a new script for the 3 allergy meds she's been unable to get since the script ran out several months ago.
The doctor told her that:
1. the toe is probably a muscular/tendon thing that's relatively common in people who have worn poorly fitting shoes for any period of time (she did as a child), and the only cure is to have surgery, and take ibuprofen or tylenol for pain. I think a podiatrist is probably better able to accurately diagnose a foot/toe thing, I also think that telling her to not wear shoes if she can avoid it, but not offering any real relief from the problem is a crock of shit
2. her sinus problems/headaches (which respond to meds like Claritin-D and Advil Cold & sinus) are allergies, but rather migraines and gave her a prescription for Matax, which the pharmacy dispensed 4 instead of the 10 that the doctor prescribed, probably due to limitations on her plan, hell, my plan would only allow me 9 a month, and I'm not sure I could get them all at once. umm, yeah, responds to sinus medications, history of severe allergies that require not 1 but 3 medications to control, sound like a migraine to me!
3. she has all the symptoms of her hypoglycemia turning into diabetes, so in a couple of weeks, on a Saturday morning, she has a fasting bloodtest scheduled.I lived with a diabetic mother from the onset of her diabetes until her death, she is NOT exhibiting symptoms of high blood sugar.
I told her that she has symptoms of depression, fibromyalgia, and possibly a sleep disorder, all of which I do or have lived with for about 10 years. Her response was "the doctor said yes, I have those, AND those are all signs of diabetes." WTF?????
I think tonite I'm going to get her to let me check the trigger points for fibro and see what happens.

SLEEP
I'm getting very near the point where I will be totally sleep deprived! Week before last got all thrown outta whack on Monday night, when I stayed up until my new roommate arrived safely from Colorado, at 1 fucking 30 in the morning. Fortunately, I had made arrangements at work so I was able to sleep in and didn't HAVE to be at work until around 1, so I slept until about 8, had a shower, hit a restaurant for lunch and a little flirt, and took my tired ass to work, and then went home and picked up my roomie, and drove over to her workplace so she could see the route before she had to drive it the next day. By the time we had dinner and got back home it was almost 9.
Wednesday's my day of torture at the gym, at 5 a.m. (yes, this is MY choice), so once I finished doing whatever I had to do before bed Tuesday night, and crawled in, and settled down to sleep (with 3 cats), it was about 11:30. Yay, I got 5 hours before the alarm went off at 4:15. Came home to pick up a couple of things, picked up the roomie at a meeting point, and off we went for the southwest side, for dinner with our crew. By the time we got back to her car and home, it was 8:30, and I needed clean underwear.... Finally crawled in bed about 11... don'tcha just LOVE 19 hour days???
Thursday was pretty much a blur and I had to take my car in for new brakes and leave it there. Friday I was supposed to go to Grapevine for the show, but by the time I hit Walmart for a handful of things, got home, picked up the roomie and had to go BACK to Walmart, I was pooped.
Saturday, after about 4 hours of sleep, I did my first bellydance workshop. 3 hours of tribal with Rachel Brice. She, by the way is awesome! Some of the ways she can move her body are almost disgusting, but she puts on a helluva workshop. I was registered for hers and another on Saturday, plus 2 on Sunday. By the time we were down to about the last 1/2 hour of Rachel's, I was DONE. My arms & shoulders were burning, and my twice broken in the same place foot was screaming 'STOP NOW BITCH'. I went home for a nap, then back up for the show that night.
Sunday was the show I was dancing in, and I knew that if I tried to do either workshop, I would not be able to dance in the show, so I just took a leisurely morning and early afternoon, then went up in time to get checked in for the show.
Monday night Darla, Nathan & Nick arrived for a few days. More about that in my previous post...
Friday we giggled more, as they came back around 11:30 that night, with Nathan STILL sick. I missed Beginning day because I was having a bout of whatever Nathan had.
Roomie & I managed to get to the grocery store, Walmart, the hardware store, and church over the weekend, but damn were we wiped out... we both slept for like 2 hours yesterday afternoon. I went to bed about 10, hardly able to keep my eyes open, and with a RAGING migraine, so I took a hydrocodone, and flopped into bed, thinking I would be out in no time (as is fairly normal when I take the hydrocodone). notsomuch this time... I think it was 11:30 before I fell asleep, and THEN I woke up at 12:45, 1 something, 2 something, 3:30, 4:15, and finally at 4:55. So yeah, I'm going on like 5 hours of sleep... not good zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
